Built by Ibrahim Sharqi ruler of the Jaunpur Sultanate this is the Jhanjhari Masjid of Jaunpur. Large parts of the mosque have already been destroyed over time, the central arch is only what remains.
The name Jhanjhari was given to it by General Cunningham and Fuhrer who thought the name was appropriate after detailed stonework and ornaments of the mosque.
